Serving with distinction and bravery limitless; Color wasn’t a concern, so it was claimed. Yet vets still denied their rights and benefits— Waiting on Godot for those wounded and maimed. Fireworks go off, it triggers the fear. Come back to America to those that want America back— Forgetting the greatest G.I.s who didn’t fit the bill, didn’t get the bill cause they were black. Independence Day is for those denied, who you won’t see or hear.
